Nov 21-22 I found this juxtaposition of a call to remember those in need next to large ads for fur coats and homes really odd in Sunday’s NYTimes.

On Monday evening, Thing 1 remarked that the leaves on the sidewalk - soggy, wet, and brown - made her feel like she was walking through the remains of her brother’s bowl of cornflakes.
